Description

Reporting to the PeopleSoft Lead, the Finance & General Ledger Lead will provide high-level support for the PeopleSoft Finance and General Ledger modules, including system maintenance, issue resolution, and functional improvements. This position supports users across multiple international regions, including North America and Europe, and works closely with offshore Application Managed Support (AMS) teams who handle routine queries and escalate more complex issues.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the General Ledger (GL), ensuring system integrity and identifying issues
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, escalating to or coordinating with offshore AMS teams as needed
• Partner with other process leads to manage VAT updates and cross-module changes
• Assist in data preparation and transition efforts related to future SAP implementation
• Support testing activities for PeopleSoft and SAP systems as needed
• Troubleshoot both development and production-related application issues
• Perform high-level month-end and year-end validations to ensure GL batch processing success
• Build strong relationships with business users and support their reporting, audit, or system change needs
• Document meeting outcomes and action items based on stakeholder discussions
• Prioritize and manage service requests and change orders
• Provide guidance to users on completing specific operational tasks
• Foster collaboration across regional and global PeopleSoft teams, as well as with internal IT and business units

Requirements

Key Skills:

Essential:

• Expertise with PeopleSoft 8.4 Finance and General Ledger
• SQL proficiency preferred

Desirable:

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft AR, Inventory, Asset Management, Project Costing
• Financial systems experience or a strong understanding of financial processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with UK and European VAT regulations
