Command Post SME
The Opportunity:
As a Command Post SME, you will serve as a critical liaison and field support expert, playing a pivotal role in the successful fielding and equipping of the Next Generation Command & Control (NGC2) element to units across the enterprise. You will be the go-to resource for program interaction, site preparation, equipment delivery, and overall coordination across multiple stakeholders in this dynamic and mission-critical environment.
In this role, you will engage directly with multiple units to understand their unique needs and facilitate seamless integration of new systems. You'll support and synchronize with assistant product managers to ensure flawless system delivery while ensuring sites are fully prepared for fielding and equipping the NGC2 element. Your expertise will be essential in supporting New Equipment Training (NET), New Equipment Fielding (NEF), and Validation Exercise (VALEX) processes, including comprehensive inventory management and equipment sign-over procedures.
You will guide trainers and fielders with a focused effort on efficient equipment delivery, collaborating closely with the program shop and other program operation SMEs. Your role requires exceptional coordination across various O5-level shops and beyond, fostering collaboration and maintaining critical information sharing networks. You'll serve as a management liaison, providing clear and concise updates on operation and project status while proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks.
This position demands significant travel and requires strong communication abilities to effectively interact with individuals at all organizational levels, from trainers to O6-level leadership. You'll provide high-level situational awareness of product office activities, fielding events, and unit engagement progress while articulating clear commitments and managing stakeholder expectations regarding deliverables and timelines.
