Job Title: Microsoft Power Platform Developer
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)
Position Summary
- Seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer to design, develop, implement, and support business applications and automation solutions.
- Responsible for expanding and optimizing the organization s Microsoft 365 Power Platform ecosystem.
- Develop and support enterprise applications to enhance financial, operational, and administrative processes.
- Apply programming and system design expertise to evaluate user requests, determine feasibility, estimate cost and timelines, and ensure compatibility with current systems.
- Consult with users to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, automated solutions.
- Perform application development using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Microsoft Dataverse, and integrations with external systems.
- Use structured analysis, object-oriented design, and Agile methodologies to deliver quality solutions.
- Maintain documentation for developed applications and automation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, test, and document computer programs and automated workflows using Power Platform components.
- Evaluate business requests and develop technical plans for new or modified applications.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, identify pain points, and propose technology-driven solutions.
- Develop, implement, and support Power Apps solutions (Canvas, Model-Driven, and Power Pages).
- Integrate Power Platform applications with Dataverse, SharePoint, and external services via custom connectors.
- Create and optimize Power Automate workflows for business process automation.
- Ensure Power Platform applications adhere to governance, data integrity, and performance standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor other developers and promote Power Platform best practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience working with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments.
- 4+ years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform development.
- Hands-on expertise in Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and custom connectors.
- Experience designing and developing Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Pages using Dataverse, SharePoint, or similar databases.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
- Experience training and mentoring other developers on Power Platform technologies.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile development and sprint planning.
- Experience building Power Automate Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows, Business Process Flows, and using Process Advisor.
- Familiarity with extending Power Platform and Power Pages using JavaScript and custom plug-ins.
- Strong understanding of Dataverse tables, connectors, and external integrations.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and its integration with Power Platform.
- Understanding of Power Platform best practices and governance standards.
- Familiarity with the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center.
- Experience implementing and following Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Prior experience in healthcare, public health, or government environments preferred.
- Exposure to Power Platform mobile apps, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Apps portals.
