Position Title: IT Asset Management Analyst
Business Unit: Technology
Reports to: IT Asset Manager
Position Overview:
The IT Asset Management Analyst will be involved in the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and internal procedures. The IT Asset Management Analyst will also help implement and enforce procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate the business' needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
Assist the IT Asset Manager with requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to end users, management, developers, and vendors to help facilitate ITAM's policies and procedures.
Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
Help to maintain and enforce processes, policies, standards, systems and measurements that help FNB to effectively manage both on a daily basis and long-term IT asset portfolio (software and technology related hardware) with regards to cost, control, risk, compliance, and IT governance as established by FNB.
Assist the organization's response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests, in consultation with the relevant vendor and procurement.
Ensure compliance through reporting, documentation tactics and internal software audits
Minimize organizational cost through product standardization, harvesting licenses and tracking
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
