Job Details

Piper Companies is seeking a Portfolio and Performance Manager, to join one of the largest federal credit unions. The Portfolio and Performance Manager will oversee financial reporting and project tracking to optimize ROI and ensure efficient execution of organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Portfolio and Performance Manager include:

  • Oversee budgeting, capital planning, and financial reporting, including tracking CapEx and OpEx, and analyzing cost allocations and ROI across a large project portfolio.


  • Assess and optimize ongoing projects by analyzing trends, expenditures, and outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and maximize return on investment.


  • Design and implement best practices for project tracking and reporting systems that streamline data input/output and require minimal ongoing oversight.


  • Partner with senior leadership, Finance, and Executive teams to define portfolio structure, prioritize initiatives, and align projects with enterprise objectives.


  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to automate data entry and reporting processes, enabling efficient performance monitoring and business impact analysis.


Qualifications for the Portfolio and Performance Manager include:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial management, including budgeting, capital planning, cost allocation, and ROI analysis.


  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, automation) to streamline data entry, reporting, and trend analysis.


  • Familiarity with technical and product delivery processes, with a background in project or program management preferred.


  • Ability to interpret financial data in the context of business impact, aligning project performance with organizational goals.


  • Demonstrated capability to design and implement project tracking and performance reporting systems with minimal oversight.


Compensation for the Portfolio and Performance Manager include:

  • Salary: $130,000 - $150,000
