Job Description:
- The role is responsible for coaching IT Team Leads and teams in Scrum and Kanban practices, facilitating continuous improvement, promoting accountability, and ensuring adherence to Agile frameworks.
- The position requires strong facilitation skills, Agile expertise, and the ability to guide teams toward effective collaboration, impediment resolution, and successful iterative delivery.
- Facilitate Scrum and accountability training for IT Team Leads.
- Train and support IT Team Leads in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, ticket tracking, and retrospectives.
- Assist with ceremony refinement, including story writing, task prioritization, and participation.
- Ensure IT Team Leads become organized, informed, and proficient with project tools.
- Assess meeting relevance, ensuring appropriate team members are informed and aligned.
- Provide training, education, and documentation to reinforce best practices and accountability.
- Coach teams alongside IT Team Leads to demonstrate and teach Scrum and Kanban practices.
- Hold IT Team Leads accountable for aligning work with IT leadership priorities.
- Train teams to address issues, make recommendations, and manage incidents collectively.
- Support IT Team Leads in identifying and removing blockers hindering team progress.
- Identify dependencies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads and IT Management to maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog.
- Facilitate continuous improvement through retrospectives and support the implementation of actionable changes.
- Reinforce adherence to Scrum and Kanban best practices, including WIP limits and documenting repeatable tasks.
- Coach Scrum and Kanban teams to ensure effective collaboration for successful incremental deployments.
- Improve overall team effectiveness by documenting training and best practices in a living Working Agreement.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Agile teams.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies and principles.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze, identify, and resolve team impediments and conflicts.
- Experience managing and prioritizing backlogs aligned with leadership priorities.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of Kanban principles including explicit workflow, visualization, and WIP limits.
- Understanding of Scrum best practices including daily scrums, alignment, and risk analysis.
- Servant-leadership mindset enabling team self-organization.
- Proficiency in Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), ServiceNow (ITSM and Agile Modules), MS Teams, and Office 365.
- Agile certification required (Scrum Master certification at minimum).
- 5+ years of Agile team experience (not repeated as a separate section since included above).
- Agile certification required (Scrum Master certification at minimum).
