Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Informatica Tech Lead to spearhead our data integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Informatica CDI-PC (Cloud Data Integration - PowerCenter) and extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex data workflows. You will lead a team of data engineers and work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless data processing, transformation, and warehousing solutions.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway, NJ is $110K-$120K/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end data integration solutions using Informatica CDI-PC / PowerCenter.
- Develop and optimize file-based jobs leveraging various transformations such as Aggregator, Expression, and Lookup.
- Maintain and enhance existing ETL workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for performance tuning.
- Collaborate with database teams to write and optimize SQL queries and procedures within SQL Server 2016 environment.
- Apply CDC (Change Data Capture) concepts to implement incremental data loads efficiently.
- Monitor and manage scheduled Informatica jobs using Control-M.
- Develop automation scripts and routines using PowerShell and Command Prompt to streamline operational tasks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Keep abreast of new developments in data integration and related technologies.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and CDI-PC (Cloud Data Integration).
- Deep understanding of file-based ETL jobs and transformations like Aggregator, Expression, Lookup.
- Strong SQL skills, particularly related to SQL Server 2016, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with CDC concepts and its implementation to facilitate incremental data loads.
- Proficiency in scheduling and monitoring workflows using Control-M.
- Scripting expertise in PowerShell and command prompt for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred, but not required:
- Certifications in Informatica or related data management tools.
- Experience with cloud data integration platforms.
- Knowledge of additional scripting languages or automation tools.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and version control systems.
