Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Data Architect BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc

Location: Remote (USA)
Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced 12+ years Google Cloud Platform Architect to support a key client engagement. In this role, you will lead the architecture and implementation of scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and analytics platforms that drive actionable insights and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure data architectures on Google Cloud Platform
Lead solutioning around BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc for large-scale data processing and analytics
Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to align technical solutions with business needs
Guide the migration of legacy data platforms to modern Google Cloud Platform-based architectures
Ensure performance tuning, cost optimization, and best practices are followed
Act as a trusted advisor for the client, providing architectural leadership and technical mentorship
Drive implementation of DevOps practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture roles
3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, especially:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow (Apache Beam)
- Dataproc (Spark/Hadoop)
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Deep understanding of data modeling, distributed data processing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)
Strong communication and client-facing skills
