Information Security Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking a Information Security Architect.

Summary:
In this role, the Information Security Analyst will assess and mitigate security risks by evaluating business strategies and technical requirements. This role involves conducting system security and vulnerability analyses, performing risk assessments, and identifying integration issues across platforms. The Analyst will communicate risk findings and security architecture recommendations to stakeholders, aligning remediation efforts with business priorities.

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with IT and business teams to define and assess current and future security architecture
* Evaluate cloud and on-premises application security, including ongoing audits
* Conduct routine audits of firewall policies, IPS incident reports, Internet proxy logs, and DLP activity
* Review application proposals for compliance with company policies and best practices
* Partner with DevOps teams to enhance SAST, DAST, coding standards, and CICD security
* Present security assessments and topics to technical and non-technical audiences
* Serve as a liaison for security-related issues across internal teams and external partners

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree, Technical School, or equivalent training in Information Systems
* 2+ years of experience in information security
* AppSec/DevOps experience
* Kubernetes and container security experience
* Static/Dynamic code analysis and vulnerability management with application experience in Kodem, Checkmarx, Aqua or similar tools
* Microsoft or Linux Systems Administration experience
* Network Security (Firewall/IPS) Administration experience and/or tools such as Netskope, Cisco, Barracuda, F5, or Fortinet
* Azure Cloud and Microsoft Entra experience
* Programming/scripting languages such as BASH, Powershell, or Python
* Familiarity writing scripts that integrate with product APIs
* Kubernetes/container security experience through tools such as Kodem, Checkmarx, or Aqua
* Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework or other guidelines such as NERC, PCI, or FDA

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
