PeopleSoft Data Conversion Lead
2 Years
Remote Position but Need to be Onsite when Kick off meetings & Key
Milestones.
Resources must have experience in data conversion from PeopleSoft to
Cloud application (like PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud or PeopleSoft to
Workday).
- Senior Data Conversion Developer Individuals responsible for
preparing legacy data for extraction. Creates mapping of legacy data
to new ERP values. Performs pre-validation of legacy data. Leads
fixing/resolving load errors and providing any necessary file
updates. Performs post validation of build.
- Junior Data Conversion Developer Individuals responsible for
creation of scripts to extract data from PeopleSoft tables. Performs
data cleansing as instructed by the Senior Data Developer. Creates
extensive documentation of the requirements and the logic of the
scripts. Frequently update scripts to provide data extracts as
instructed by the Senior Data Conversion Developer.
- Senior Finance Data Analyst Individuals expected to be able to
analyze and understand legacy data structures and tables of
PeopleSoft Finance. Attend requirements gathering sessions to gather
requirements for Finance data mapping and provide inputs to Data
conversion team. Assist with creation of test scripts to validate
data load into new ERP. Validate the data loaded into the new ERP
and identify data issues, data anomalies and work with the DC team
to resolve errors.
- Senior HCM Data Analyst Individuals expected to be able to analyze
and understand legacy data structures and tables of PeopleSoft HR.
Attend requirements gathering sessions to gather requirements for
HCM data mapping and provide inputs to Data conversion team. Assist
with creation of test scripts to validate data load into new ERP.
Validate the data loaded into the new ERP and identify data issues,
data anomalies and work with the DC team to resolve errors.
- Finance Data Conversion Lead The individual who will support the
EBS director and direct the financial data conversion activities of
the team. Individual will directly advise the IT, HR, and Finance
functional leaders on the impacts and ramifications of data
conversion decisions made throughout the implementation. Kick off
the Finance Data Conversion workshop. Schedule and conduct Data
Conversion design meetings for Finance modules. Communicate the
Finance Data conversion timeline and priorities. Manage any
escalations with respect to tools, timelines, and resources. Create
and maintain Build Checklist for Finance. Set up and lead Data
Conversion scrum meetings to monitor status of the DC activities.
Log errors in tracker and identify fixes for the next load. Prepare
and conduct lessons learned for each Build. Escalate to IT PM of any
issues and delays.
- HCM Data Conversion Lead The individual who will support the EBS
director and direct the financial data conversion activities of the
team. Individual will directly advise the IT, HR, and Finance

Required Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data conversion development,
preferably in PeopleSoft HCM and Finance implementations in at
least 3 modules.
- Good understanding of PeopleSoft Data Structure, Conversion tools,
techniques, and best practices.
- High Proficiency in SQL and PeopleTools, including Application
Designer, and Integration Broker.
- Good understanding of data mapping, data modeling, and data
integration concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the
capability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- PeopleSoft certification(s) is a plus.
1.0 Tasks
1.1 For Senior and Junior Data Conversion Developer(s):
These role(s) will play a crucial role in the migration of data from
PeopleSoft HCM and Finance to the new ERP, ensuring accuracy,
completeness, and adherence to project timelines. The ideal candidate(s)
will have a strong analytical/technical background, including experience
in data analysis, extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
Data Analysis:
o Analyze PeopleSoft HCM and Finance data structures, schemas, and
formats to understand data requirements for migration to new ERP.
o Identify data mapping requirements between PeopleSoft HCM/Finance
tables and the new ERP, ensuring alignment with business processes and
requirements.
o Requirements gathering:
o Collaborate with the System Owners and Functional Area Leads to gather
data requirements and translate them into specifications for data
conversion to the new ERP.
o Conversion Strategy Development:
o Assist Data Conversion Lead(s) in the process of developing data
conversion strategies and methodologies for implementation, including
data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
o Provide inputs and effort estimates to the Data Conversion Lead during
the process of conversion scope definition, priorities, and timelines
based on project requirements and stakeholder input.
o Data Extraction and Transformation:
o Extract data from PeopleSoft HCM and Finance modules using appropriate
tools and techniques, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and
completeness.
o Transform extracted data into the required format for new ERP,
applying necessary validations, cleansing, and transformation rules
Data Loading:
o Assist the System Integrator during the process of data loading by
promptly responding to questions. Be prepared to make frequent and quick
updates to the scripts to enable Data load by the implementation team.
o Ensure data consistency, integrity, data security and compliance with
data standards and best practices.
o Testing and Validation:
o Assist Data Conversion Leads and System Integrator with testing of
data conversion processes to validate accuracy, completeness, and
adherence to conversion requirements and business rules.
o Resolve data conversion issues, discrepancies, and errors in
collaboration with Data Conversion Leads, Functional Area Leads and
System Integrator team members.
o Documentation:
o Document data conversion processes, specifications, mappings, and test
results for future reference, audit, and training purposes.
o Maintain documentation in accordance with organizational standards and
project documentation guidelines.
o Collaboration and Communication:
o Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT
Workstream Project Manager, business analysts, developers, and testers,
to ensure seamless integration of data conversion activities within the
overall project plan.
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather
requirements, and address questions or concerns related to data
conversion activities.
o Promptly escalate issues related to data conversion to the Data
Conversion Lead(s) and IT Workstream Project Manager.
