1+ Year Contract Memphis, TN or McLean, VA
(5195) IMMEDIATE new job opening to join our team and work on a project with our long-term, global client as a Data Analyst on their Supply Management Reporting Application team. This role can be hybrid in their Memphis, TN or McLean, VA HQs. This position will be responsible for overseeing the data management processes, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data-related initiatives. You will collaborate with various teams to define data standards, monitor data quality, and implement best data practices.
Responsibilities:

  • Be the knowledge specialist for products, suppliers, and other business-facing data.
  • Collect and organize data from multiple data sources collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Identify data gaps and take actions to address.
  • Maintain and update Data Dictionary.
  • Review Brand Standards Guide documents and convert product data into a data template.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data sources, definitions, and processes.
  • Develop a firm understanding of data process and overall data flow between HSM systems.
  • Examine the system's data mapping, profile the data, and offer suggestions on the appropriate mappings to be applied.
  • Engage with business and data stakeholders to resolve questions or issues.
  • Assists with defining success criteria and metrics for ongoing monitoring of data.
  • Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data from data warehouse.

Skills Required:

  • 1-2 years of data stewardship, data analysis, or related experience.
  • 1 year of experience in any Master Data Management tool (e.g. Informatica).
  • 1-2 years of experience in Microsoft SQL.
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Analytics or Information Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with supporting disciplines for data entry, data quality, and data operations.
  • Self-starter, well-organized and willing to take ownership of responsibilities while possessing positive energy and drive.
  • Problem solving skills to find creative solutions for hard problems while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Teamwork and active listening skills
  • Flexibility and resilience to changing organizational requirements.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and to provide recommendations for optimal solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
  • Facilitate the integration of data from various sources, ensuring consistency and coherence of data.
  • Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation for data sources, including definitions and processes.
  • An analytical mindset to interpret data, identify issues, and propose solutions.
