Technical Project Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Technical Project Manager with expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This role involves managing complex technical projects across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business goals, technical requirements, and timely delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software development processes, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in both traditional and iterative project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of multiple technical projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
Work closely with engineering, product, QA, and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets and manage them throughout the project lifecycle.
Organize and lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) when working in Scrum/Agile environments.
Manage change requests, risks, and issues proactively using structured methodologies.
Track project performance using appropriate KPIs, dashboards, and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project).
Maintain consistent and transparent communication with stakeholders, including executive reporting.
Facilitate cross-team coordination and resolve project conflicts or blockers to ensure timely delivery.
Adapt processes to fit the needs of the team and project complexity, recommending and implementing best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master s a plus).
Project management experience, including technical projects in software development or IT infrastructure.
Proven experience managing projects using both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience working in hybrid environments and transitioning teams between methodologies.
Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or similar certifications are preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have:
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, government).
Familiarity with SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks.
Technical background in software engineering or systems integration.
