Location: Round Lake, IL
Duration: 12 Months (6 Months can Extension) Possibility of full time Conversion
- This position is primarily responsible for the electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing and evaluation of new and existing Electromechanical medical devices.
- Will be required to handle test stands, set-up, perform and monitor testing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, test, and take observations on infusion pumps.
- Interact with lab equipment such as microscopes, measurement devices, and torque drivers.
- Assist with device repair, part replacement, and troubleshooting.
- Follow lab safety practices, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in multiple training sessions for lab practices and documentation.
Overview:
Electromechanical Test Technicians to run test in the lab focusing on medical infusion pumps. The role involves light manual work, data collection, and testing of electromechanical devices. This Person will be trained on multiple training procedures such as documentation, Practice and lab safety practice.
13. Writing Technical reports in accordance for test results
14. Prior experience in EMC tests and EMI/EMC equipment performance of products.
15. MATLAB, Python, Excel, LabView
18. Must be skilled in soldering (microscopic soldering experience).
19. IPC 7711 or IPC 7721 certification is strongly preferred.
20. Someone with a college degree who lacks skills is considered, but they would definitely have come for a test.
- High School diploma or equivalent, AA Degree is strongly preferred. Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
- 1-2 yrs of mechanical or electrical experience is strongly preferred, or engineering grads with some intern experience
- Experience working in a lab environment (during education or professionally).
- Familiarity with electromechanical devices, measuring instruments, and Windows OS.
- Entry Level Candidates are welcome if they have prior lab experience during coursework.
- Scripting or macro programming knowledge is a plus.
- Basic computer skills
Other Details:
- 50% light manual activities (no heavy lifting, no exposure to bodily fluids).
- Work involves multiple aspects of the same product, including running, testing, and repairing pumps.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a lab or technical environment is acceptable.
- 30-minute phone interview.
- Candidates without IPC 7711 certification must complete an in-person soldering test.
