Location: Philadelphia, PA

Work: Full-time | Hybrid (x1 per month on-site)

Are you an experienced quality engineering leader passionate about driving quality through automation? We're looking for an SDET Manager to lead a team of Software Development Engineers in Test, building frameworks and tools that ensure the reliability of complex systems - from middleware to integrated hardware devices.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape testing strategy, guide technical directions, and mentor engineers while working closely with product and development teams to deliver secure, high-performing applications.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of SDETs within cross-functional agile teams.
• Drive the design and evolution of automation frameworks, test suites, and test data strategies.
• Partner with DevOps to implement quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with performance engineers to integrate performance testing into functional tests.
• Guide testing for web apps, APIs, mobile, POS systems, middleware, and connected devices.
• Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and innovation.

What you bring:

• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering and development.
• 2+ years of experience managing SDETs/QA Engineers in software development.
• Proven success building and maintaining automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
• Strong background in testing high-volume, high-availability systems.
• Experience with OOPS languages including C#, or Java.
• Strong SQL experience.
• Testing experience with Postman, NUnit, Katalon, SonarQube.
• Cloud infrastructure experience - Kubernetes, Redis, Azure DevOps, Dynatrace, Snowflake, or Windows IIS.
• Hands-on testing middleware integrations and device-based systems.
