Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee technology initiatives supporting System Protection functions within the electrical utility sector. This technical role is designed for experienced professionals with a proven track record in managing complex, multi-phase projects that drive grid stability and compliance. The successful candidate will coordinate post-design activities through a five-station implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions that meet rigorous industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple technology projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to defined objectives, scope, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with System Protection teams—including Compliance Support, Conceptual Design, Relay Settings, Relay and SCADA Support, and Relay Standards and Studies—to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans that include scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with NERC standards and internal project management methodologies, maintaining documentation for audit and review purposes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders in Technology, Operations, and Compliance to facilitate seamless project delivery and integration.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop robust contingency plans to mitigate impact, maintaining project momentum and stakeholder confidence.
  • Provide regular status updates to System Protection leadership and Technology teams, supporting transparency and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee technology implementation and data conversion efforts, ensuring successful integration with existing systems and compliance with quality assurance protocols.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in a technical or utility industry environment, with a focus on technology implementation and data conversion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing tasks and resources to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, with hands-on experience using tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying and mitigating risks in complex technical projects.
  • Experience with data conversion methodologies, including data mapping, testing, and integration with legacy systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NERC standards and compliance requirements within the electrical utility sector.
  • Preferred: Experience in regulated utility industry settings, familiarity with electric grid operations and system protection principles, and relevant certifications such as PMP or Agile.
  • Experience with project budgeting and cost management, demonstrating effective use of resources and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and availability for full-time, on-site employment.

Pay Range: $80.00 to $90.00 per hour.
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
