POSITION SUMMARY:
Established forward-thinking full-service engineering consulting firm with offices in NJ, PA, DE, and more (headquartered in Cherry Hill, NJ) is seeking a skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Department Head with 10+ years of experience to join our team. The MEP Department Lead will be responsible for managing the MEP department located in the Delaware Valley territory, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of MEP systems across various projects. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive excellence, innovation, and efficiency within the department. This role is responsible for winning new projects in the Delaware Valley (NJ & PA) municipal and private clients. In addition, the individual shall assign and monitor the processing of work provided by different RVE departments and branch offices. If the individual possesses clients who can be new clients of RVE this is considered a major plus.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $147,000 - $242,550. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.
Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Department Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the MEP department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Oversee all MEP projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Technical Oversight: Serve as the primary technical authority for MEP systems, offering guidance and expertise to ensure optimal design and functionality.
- Budget and Resource Allocation: Manage departmental resources effectively, including staffing, budgeting, and scheduling, to meet project demands and organizational goals. Provide regular updates and reports on department MEP activities, performance metrics, and project statuses.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce stringent quality control processes to ensure all MEP work meets or exceeds industry standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure QA/QC of delivered group product is conducted by individual or by peer review.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with MEP solutions.
- Training and Development: Mentor and develop MEP team members, promoting professional growth and ensuring the team remains current with industry advancements.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the MEP department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Strong leadership and team management skills. Matrix management and remote staff management skills a plus.
- Proven experience in pursuing leads and obtaining new work.
- Strong understanding of regional building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex engineering programs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze financial reports and set business objectives
- Proficiency in MEP design software and project management tools. Knowledge of Deltek Vision software preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- At least 10 years of experience in MEP design, engineering, and project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED
- PE License Required
- Valid Driver's License
