Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Software Technical Analyst to join our IT team. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of software lifecycle management, strong technical acumen, and a passion for data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for software discovery, usage analysis, deployment support, and reporting across a diverse enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee software lifecycle and end-of-life (EOL) processes, ensuring compliance and optimization.
  • Utilize PowerShell, SQL, WQL, and Power BI to automate tasks and generate actionable insights.
  • Support Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) for software deployment and inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to package, repackage, and deploy software across Windows, macOS, and VDI platforms.
  • Leverage ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support IT operations and software asset management.
  • Analyze software usage data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure license compliance.
  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and workflows clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST).
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of software lifecycle and EOL processes.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL, WQL, Power BI, and software inventory tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, macOS, and VDI enterprise environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and software deployment technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Splunk and UberAgent for endpoint monitoring and telemetry.
  • Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL databases.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity risk assessment and compliance standards.
