InDyne is a full-service military, civilian and commercial operations company. Our Mission is to provide tailored cost effective, quality services and solutions. Our Vision is to exceed customer expectations by delivering results through agility, flexibility and responsiveness. Our Core Values include integrity, trust and loyalty.

Background Information:

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / System Administrator will support the Radio Frequency (RF) Signatures Branch at the Atlantic Test Range (ATR). ATR is the Navy's East Coast open-air test range and provides real-time test and evaluation (T&E) services including data acquisition, instrumentation, data analysis, recording, test management, and airspace management to DoD and commercial customers. The successful candidate will be embedded with a talented group of programmers and engineers focused on development and operations of custom, in-house developed, critical national defense systems related to open-air RF signature signal generation and measurements. The role requires a versatile SRE who thrives on ownership, design freedom, and solving real infrastructure challenges - building, automating, and making key architectural decisions that will have direct impact on our warfighter's ability to engage with and/or avoid adversary RF threats.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Linux System Administration : Administer and manage Linux servers (RHEL preferred), including system installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Manage and maintain diskless server infrastructure using PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) and Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS).
  • Security Compliance : Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e.g., DISA, NAVAIR), including managing vulnerabilities through tools such as EvaluateSTIG, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning. Test, install, and maintain COTS, and GOTS software. This includes applying upgrades and patches, as well as remediating IAVAs in accordance with security best practices and established change control requirements.
  • Container Management : Manage and maintain containers (Docker, Containerd, Podman, Rancher, Kubernetes etc.), including creating and configuring containers for various applications.
  • Automation and Configuration : Develop Ansible playbooks and roles for automating system configurations and ensuring consistency across servers.
  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Proactively monitor systems, identify and resolve issues, including disk space management, user permissions, and system performance.
  • Network and Server Performance : Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking and servers, ensuring optimal system performance in high-security, regulated environments.
  • Infrastructure and Solution Design : Research, recommend, and implement technology solutions that align with the customer's existing infrastructure, architecture, and resource constraints.

  • Hands-on experience with container management (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
  • Proficient in shell scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, PDQ).
