.Responsibilities: - Hardware Management:
- Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of Google Pixel devices, including phones, watches, and buds.
- Configure and optimize devices for various testing and development scenarios.
- Ensure devices are up-to-date with the latest firmware and software.
- Manage device inventory, including tracking assets, performing regular audits, and coordinating repairs or replacements.
- Server Administration:
- Manage and maintain Linux servers used for testing, development, and internal services.
- Perform server installations, configurations, and updates.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the inventory of lab equipment, including hardware, software licenses, and consumables.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory items and their locations.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
- Implement efficient inventory management processes and tools.
- Lab Operations:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to lab users.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth lab operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.
- Testing:
- QA Tester, who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the Google products.
- A flexible resource, working with different teams across multiple projects and platforms (Web, Android, Wear OS & iOS Devices).
- Testing on different mobile devices, Emulators and Simulators and updating the end results in the client provided test management tool
- Analyze functional documents, plan and create test cases
- As part of the QA team, it is also expected that they will execute test cases, log bugs, track progress, and verify the resolutions of issues written.
- Most Important, they are expected to drive QA activities, sync with client and communicate back to team on daily basis for the product activities and project updates
- Very good experience in ADB / unix commands.
Qualifications: - Strong technical skills, including experience with:
- Google Pixel devices (phones, watches, buds)
- Linux servers
- Inventory management systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge on testing native mobile applications on either iOS or Android.
- Must have testing experience within basic understanding of testing process and methodologies
- Should have good knowledge on UI, Sanity, Regression, functional, Integration, accessibility, exploratory and compatibility testing concepts.
- Should have knowledge on debugging skills, bug reporting, bug life cycle concepts and release cycles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
