Junior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Software Engineer in Westlake, TX.

Responsibilities:
* Full grasp of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
* Use of formal methods (traditional structured or Agile/iterative) for delivering new or enhanced applications, identify and communicating systems development processes and developing work you're doing associated with the respective phases of the lifecycle
* Proactively navigates the organization in order to accomplish tasks
* Willingness to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
* Desire to be organized, highly responsive and committed to quality

REQUIREMENTS:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required
* 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Client-side development using Angular, jQuery, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS in an enterprise environment
* 2+ years of demonstrated experience with server-side/mid-tier languages, frameworks, libraries, and related technologies is an added advantage: Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, Maven
* Hands on experience using AWS services S3, EC2, Lambda, CFT
* Experience collaborating in a team environment to develop, deploy, and support key applications and features
* Extensive knowledge of internet-based technologies, application architecture, as well as current and emerging technologies
* A proven understanding of the Agile software development methodology
* Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Deploying applications in DevOps environment
* Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, API documentation (Swagger)
* Solid understanding of developing highly scalable distributed systems using Open-source technologies
* Solid understanding of E2E ALM tools like JIRA, GitStash, FishEye, Crucible, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy
* Proficiency in Client-side unit testing frameworks and test runners like Jest, Jasmine and Karma
* Excellent interpersonal skills, both through written and verbal channels
* Comfortable with Code Quality/Coverage tools (Sonar or equivalent)
* Passion and intellectual curiosity to learn new technologies and business areas
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environment
* Ability to think out of box and design end-to-end solutions
* Appreciation for and alignment to standard methodologies regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service consumption and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverage
* Experience in financial services applications is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
