HCBS Incident Investigator

Pay Range: $25 - $27/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Shift Time & Working Days: 8am 5pm, Mon to Fri, OT dependent on business needs
• Development, implementation and maintenance of initial and ongoing education as it pertains to Waiver Incident Reporting from start to finish.
• Identification and processing of reported waiver incidents as applicable and in alignment with state/federal regulations (Abuse, neglect, misappropriation, exploitation, health and welfare, among others)
• Oversight of Waiver Incident Management with state contracted investigation organization.
• Coordination of waiver incidents that do not fall to the stated contracted investigation organization.
• Inclusive prevention plan evaluation and resolution.
• Audit Waiver Incidents to assure compliance and alignment for annual state/federal audit.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; Medicaid and MyCare, Master s in SW or therapy
• This role involves collaboration with multiple disciplines and entities, working with care coordination, UM, ODM, regulatory, investigative and protective authorities.
• Requires critical thinking skills and clinical nursing/BH knowledge. Requires investigative skills, teamwork and autonomy.
• Incorporates work with both Medicaid and MyCare teams while assisting our members in both plans.
• Must haves: OH license, knowledge of OH Medicaid and MyCare regulations and managed care contracts. 2 years clinical experience
• Nice to haves: behavioral health background; knowledge of Microsoft excel and outlook, OH incident reporting. Area of agency on aging, OH Managed Care
• Critical thinking, self-motivated, strong clinical background
• Must be independent, yet works well with a team
• Fast learner, computer savvy
• Required: Degree and or certificate/licensure required in a field of Nursing, Social Work and/or Counseling. Two years of experience required. Must have knowledge of waiver and incident reporting
• Required: Clinical licensure/certification is preferred: LPN, SWA, CHW, LSW or LPC. Clinical experience in lieu of licensure will be considered.
