Digital Business Analyst II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Diego, CA that is seeking a Digital Business Analyst II.

Summary:
The Digital Business Analyst will collaborate closely with other analysts, developers and designers to ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements and compliance standards. The Digital Business Analyst performs complex tasks with some oversight such as developing business cases, experience storyboards, personas, digital requirements management and contributing to the system deliverables and user documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Execute data requests from senior data scientists supporting AI initiatives
* Perform ad hoc data pulls to inform opportunity sizing and product experimentation
* Build and maintain data pipelines to support both existing and emerging AI agents
* Define schemas and architect storage solutions for large-scale conversational datasets using Python notebooks
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data accessibility and usability

Typical Day Breakdown:
* 50-60%: Hands-on development work-coding in SQL and Python, especially within the Databricks environment
* 10-20%: Analytical work focused on generating actionable insights from large datasets
* 10-20%: Collaboration with stakeholders across AI science, data engineering, and product management teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficiency in SQL and PySpark for large-scale data processing
* Strong data visualization and exploration capabilities using tools such as matplotlib, seaborn, pandas, and numpy
* Hands-on experience with clickstream data analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
* Proficient in using Databricks for pipeline development and large-scale computation
* Familiarity with business metrics and consumer-facing product analytics (e.g., event/session-level granularity, funnel analysis, engagement metrics)

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with ETL pipelines and data infrastructure
* Visualization and dashboarding skills using Qlik and Tableau
* Deep interest or background in LLMs and their applications within enterprise-scale systems

An outstanding candidate will demonstrate:
* A proven track record in creating scalable data foundations to support AI-powered and conversational AI experiences
* Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to complex tax-related data environments
* Experience building end-to-end data pipelines and developing consumable data marts that integrate user-level data with conversational interaction logs
* A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams including AI scientists, data engineers, and product managers

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
