Job Details

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator with strong expertise in cloud environments, Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure support. This role supports a state government agency and requires deep experience in both on-premise and cloud-based environments (Azure & AWS).


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or 4+ years of equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of Windows Server administration (including Windows Server 2016 and newer)

  • 3+ years of Microsoft Azure (Cloud) administration experience

  • 2+ years of AWS experience

  • 5+ years of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy administration in an enterprise environment (1,000+ users)

  • 3+ years of Linux server administration

  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting (writing, testing, and executing scripts)

  • Hands-on experience with virtual server and cloud environments

  • Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large-scale IT projects with distributed user bases

  • Experience developing and managing schedules across multiple initiatives

  • Familiarity with MS Azure Government and AWS Government environments

  • Previous work on state or public sector IT projects

  • Knowledge of Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C. (Florida Administrative Code) compliance

  • Experience collaborating with programming or application development teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, professional attitude

  • Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Understanding of IT and cybersecurity standards in a criminal justice or government setting

  • Exposure to additional IT areas (e.g., data analytics, development)

  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization abilities in fast-paced environments
