Senior Digital Program Specialist - Digital Workspace The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond-infrastructure with sustainability at its core. The Information Technology Department (ITD) provides technical services in the areas of digital services, IT-related procurement, cybersecurity, IT risk and resilience, data management, digital learning, and digital transformation, ensuring their overall alignment with the Bank's needs and priorities. The team oversees the development and refinement of the IT strategy as well as the effective management of technology resources and the provision of technical support across Bank operations. These efforts are critical to fostering a digital and data-driven culture within the Bank aligned with its Corporate Strategy, promoting the innovation of digital infrastructures, and ensuring the smooth operation and security of daily banking functions.
The Senior Digital Program Specialist - Digital Workspace is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of digital programs focused on Microsoft (MS) enterprise digital workspace. This senior role ensures that MS-based business applications and platforms are strategically aligned with business objectives, meet evolving operational needs, and are delivered with excellence-on time, within budget, and with high quality.
The role requires strong program and project management skills, a sound understanding of MS products and technology stack, and the ability to work across technical and business teams. The incumbent will report to the Head of Unit. The Unit designs, delivers and maintain a set of business applications and solutions, which is based on wide range of technologies, including SAP, Microsoft, etc. The role will work collaboratively with stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Solution Design - Lead the design and implementation of application solutions by engaging with business stakeholders and leveraging Microsoft digital platforms such as SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Teams, and Azure services. Ensure solutions align with business needs and Bank standards. Strong experience is required in delivering software based on the Microsoft technology stack within a structured development lifecycle, including source control, documentation, and quality assurance practices.
  • Project Management - Leverage extensive experience in leading complex, high-impact business application IT projects, take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring solutions are strategically aligned, effectively executed, and delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Application Ownership - Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business users for Microsoft-based applications. Manage enhancement requests, prioritize tasks within the established governance model, and ensure smooth coordination across teams.
  • Maintenance and Operations (Enhancement and BAU) - Ensure the sustained performance, reliability, and security of business applications running on Microsoft technologies. Manage upgrades, support, and continuous improvement of services including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Outlook, Power Automate, and Power BI, ensuring alignment with SLAs and business expectations.
  • Compliance and Security Support - Ensure Microsoft-based solutions adhere to relevant internal control frameworks (e.g., audit requirements, COSO) and proactively address risks and vulnerabilities in collaboration with various teams, audit, ICFR, IT Security and Risk teams etc.
  • Solution Optimization - Continuously assess the usage and effectiveness of Microsoft solutions. Proactively identify improvement opportunities, enhance user experience, improve business value by leveraging data, user feedback, and the development of technologies.
  • Reporting and Escalation - Serve as an escalation point for complex operational and technical issues on assigned projects. Reporting regularly and efficiently on progress of projects/change initiatives to Head of Unit and whenever required Head of Department. Contribute to an efficient and professional communication and effective reporting of the unit's activities towards clients, preparing audience-appropriate internal and external communications and reports.
  • Cross-function Collaboration - Work with various teams - such as IT Infrastructure, Data Analytics, IT Security, and Risk management, and IT Service Operations - to provide a smooth rollout of applications to users and maintain a highly secure and cohesive IT environment.
  • Vendor Management - Manage third-party vendors and service providers, including procurement, contracting, performance evaluation, and compliance with service agreements.

Requirements:
  • University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant IT experience or equivalent for IT Specialist.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in successfully delivering Microsoft-based Digital Workspace products and projects including solutions built on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, and Azure.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes and lifecycles (SDLC), agile methodologies, and enterprise architecture.
  • Working in a controlled enterprise environment with formal change, version, and release management.
  • Experience with interface integration, data migration, cloud platforms, and application monitoring.
  • Stakeholder Management - Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with business stakeholders, manage expectations, and build consensus across diverse teams.
  • Vendor management - Demonstrated experience in managing vendor contracts, Statement of Work (SOW), service delivery, and performance to meet organizational goals.
  • Collaboration - Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams and cultural contexts.
  • Communication - Good written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor messages to technical and non-technical audiences.
