Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex enterprise network infrastructure projects.

  • Gather and analyze business requirements to develop detailed network specifications.

  • Apply network security principles and Cisco best practices across all initiatives.

  • Execute test plans, coordinate testing activities, and facilitate user acceptance testing.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment of business and technical needs.

  • Conduct network design assessments and provide strategic guidance on architecture improvements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing network specifications.

  • Proven background in designing, developing, and implementing data network infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of network security principles.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and industry best practices.

  • Ability to lead complex enterprise or state-level network design initiatives.

  • Experience executing test plans and coordinating testing and UAT efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification.

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting Texas state agencies or similar public sector environments.
