Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, network troubleshooting, syslog-ng, and programming. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions to enhance our operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Linux Administration: Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal network performance.
Syslog-ng Management: Configure and manage syslog-ng for centralized logging and monitoring from various servers i.e. servers (both linux and windows platforms), firewall appliances, proxies etc.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible or equivalent to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure resources
Programming: Have strong skills in at least one of the higher-level programming languages such as Python, Go etc. to handle automation tasks
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of infrastructure solutions.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation processes and infrastructure configurations.
Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation, Linux administration, and network
troubleshooting.
Minimum 5 years of experience of Linux system administration (primarily RedHat)
Extensive experience with PCRE (Perl Compatible Regex Engine)
Minimum 2 years' experience with syslog-ng for centralized logging. Specifically, librdkafka, rsyslog
(customizing endpoints), keepalived (in large clusters beyond 2 systems)
Strong knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible or any other equivalent service for infrastructure as
code.
Strong programming experience with at least few of the higher-level programming languages like
Bash, Perl, Python, Go or C
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Engineer).
Experience with other automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
