The Position:
Client: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Pennsylvania State Police (PSP)
Position Title: PSP - Senior .NET Developer TAS1 (758714)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Harrisburg, PA
Duration: Initial term through 06/30/2026 (+ Annual Renewal In 1-Year Terms)
Note: This position is primarily remote off-site. In addition to the PA ePATCH background check, there will be an additional background check including fingerprints.
PSP is seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Developer to design, develop, and deploy innovative web applications leveraging the power of .NET, SQL technologies, and the Azure cloud platform. Pivotal to deliver scalable, secure, and performant solutions that drive our business forward.
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based web application architectures utilizing Azure services (App Services, Storage, Azure SQL, Functions, etc.).
- Design and implement robust data solutions, ensuring optimal integration between .NET applications and SQL databases.
- Champion security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, protecting application and data integrity.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, development team members, and stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Drive the adoption of architectural standards and design patterns.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and cloud trends to continuously enhance our solutions.
The Skills and Experience:
- 6+ Years: Broad experience in software development including coding, testing, deployment and maintenance of applications developed on Microsoft stack
- 5+ Years: .NET Framework (1.1 4.6.x)
- 5+ Years: C#
- 5+ Years: WCF Web Services
- 5+ Years: Object Oriented Development
- 5+ Years: MS SQL Server
- 5+ Years: Visual Studio
- 5+ Years: ASP.NET
- 5+ Years: Experience maintaining and extending technical documentation
- 5+ Years: Understanding and working experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- 2+ Years: .NET Core
- 2+ Years: Web API
- 4-Year Degree
- Experience in Azure
- After hours support
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex design challenges
- Communication: Clearly articulate technical concepts to other developers, stakeholders, and non-technical personnel
- Project Experience: A track record of successfully designed and deployed web applications at scale, preferably involving cloud technologies
- CI/CD: Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment is desired
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices like Scrum and Kanban is desired
- Modern Frontend Frameworks: Understanding of integrating .NET backends with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is desired
