Role: CNC Programmer (Siemens NX / CAM)
Location: Winston-Salem, NC (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time or Contract
Role Summary:
Seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with strong Siemens NX and CAM background to develop and optimize machining processes for turbine airfoil components. The role involves creating 4- and 5-axis CNC programs, supporting shop floor machining operations, improving processes through data analysis, and collaborating with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs in Siemens NX for complex 4- & 5-axis milling.
- Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for turbine blades/vanes.
- Support shop machinists and resolve machining issues.
- Assist in fixture design and specialty cutting tool development.
- Review in-process quality data and adjust machining parameters.
- Lead process improvement, root cause analysis, and qualification projects.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Quality teams on design and NCRs.
- Provide cost estimates and support CAPEX planning.
Must Have:
- 2 4-year Engineering degree (or equivalent).
- 5+ years 4/5-axis milling and CNC programming experience.
- Strong experience with Siemens NX & Teamcenter CAD/CAM.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Fixture design knowledge and experience in conventional milling.
- Proficient in MS Office.
