Job Description:
  • The Staff Technical Writer will develop and maintain structured technical documentation for x86 architecture and system-level features using DITA XML and CCMS.
  • This role supports multi-channel publishing, strong information architecture practices, and close collaboration with cross-functional engineering and program teams to deliver high-quality, accessible technical content.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Proven experience in technical writing within the semiconductor industry.
  • Expertise in structured authoring using DITA XML.
  • Strong knowledge of CCMS platforms such as IXIASOFT or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in information architecture principles including profiling attributes and conditional text.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree with at least eight years of experience or Master s degree with at least five years of experience in Technical Communication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience working in structured content and CMS environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain structured technical documentation for x86 architecture and system-level features using DITA XML and CCMS.
  • Implement advanced information architecture practices including profiling attributes, conditional text, topic and map reuse, and structural reuse with submaps.
  • Support HTML and multi-channel publishing while ensuring accessibility and usability for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams including GPU architecture, software engineering, and program management.
  • Support continuous improvement, automation, and documentation standards.
Should Have:
  • Python scripting experience for documentation automation.
  • Experience with content migration and legacy format conversion.
  • Project management experience to drive documentation initiatives and cross-functional alignment.
Skills:
  • DITA XML and oXygen XML Editor.
  • CCMS platforms such as IXIASOFT.
  • Information architecture and content governance workflows.
  • HTML and CSS.
  • Adobe Acrobat and Adobe FrameMaker.
  • JIRA Cloud.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Technical Communication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
