Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Network Delivery and Execution Team in support of perimeter security deployments and lifecycle management initiatives. This role focuses on the implementation of secure network solutions, hardware/software refreshes, and high-impact strategic projects, ensuring seamless integration with zero impact to production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute release and deployment activities for perimeter security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Perform technical assessments, risk evaluations, and vet proposed solutions.
• Develop detailed implementation plans, including UAT criteria, back-out procedures, and validation steps.
• Build and manage firewall systems (e.g., Fortinet, Checkpoint, TippingPoint) and associated management tools.
• Execute quality assurance processes to meet engineering standards and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with the Design Engineering Team to resolve design concerns pre-deployment.
• Maintain accurate records in systems related to asset tracking, inventory, and change documentation.
• Support knowledge sharing and adoption of new technologies with Security Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Participate in after-hours implementations (nights/weekends) as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 8 10 years of hands-on IT experience with a strong focus on firewall technologies.
• Proficient in perimeter security systems: Fortinet, Checkpoint, TippingPoint IDS/IPS.
• Strong scripting/programming in Python; UNIX/Linux administration experience.
• Proven success in managing complex, high-visibility deployments with zero downtime.
• Deep understanding of network protocols, DMZ infrastructure, and perimeter security controls.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Check Point Provider 1.
• Advanced understanding of networking: routing, switching, multicast, LAN protocols.
• Scripting in shell, Perl, Golang, or C/C++ is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills in technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with banking network infrastructure and compliance expectations.
• Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
