Bally's Media operates the Bally Sports Live and Stadium sports streaming services. Bally Sports Live is a free live streaming app that allows sports fans to engage with their favorite events in real-time while fostering interactive fan communities and earning rewards for activities. Stadium, a joint venture between Bally's and Silver Chalice (owned by Jerry Reinsdorf, who also owns the Chicago Bulls and White Sox), is a free advertising-supported streaming (FAST) sports network distributed through partners such as Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Fire TV and Prime Video, Tubi, YouTube TV, DirecTV and Fubo. Sports and events that Bally Sports Live and Stadium broadcast include Minor League Baseball, Savannah Bananas, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, GLORY Kickboxing, AVP Pro beach volleyball as well as betting shows.

Our dedicated team specializes in developing critical control systems for the Bally Sports Live application. We are at the forefront of creating essential tools that empower our broadcast engineering team and drive our public-facing applications.

Our scope of work encompasses comprehensive management of live streaming architecture, content management systems, and robust system monitoring. Join us in shaping the future of media technology and ensuring a seamless broadcasting experience for our global audience.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will serve as an expert in determining and guiding the technical direction of our various applications. Leveraging your experience in modern web frameworks and knowledge in system design and AWS services, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing internal control systems that power the Bally Sports Live app.
So, what will you be doing?

• Providing technical leadership over the design, construction and delivery of various applications and systems
• Overseeing all aspects of the development process
• Guiding architectural planning and designing efforts, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance of control systems
• Leading code review processes, maintaining a commitment to code quality, documentation, and best practices
• Offering support and troubleshooting for issues and adapt to changes in data structures as they arise
• Providing leadership in overseeing the engineering staff, fostering a cohesive and collaborative work environment
• Participating in project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management, ensuring successful project delivery

And what are we looking for?

• Experience in JavaScript and modern frameworks/libraries, with a particular emphasis on NEXT.js
• Be proficient in utilizing AWS services for scalable and robust applications
• Experience working with RESTful architecture and API design
• Have extensive experience with various databases, including Postgres and MongoDB
• Possess extensive experience in Agile development, ideally within a SCRUM team
• Display a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies
