Sr Network engineer/Security / Architect with Palo Alto Networks with VPC , AWS , Azure , Google Cloud Platform with on-prem to Cloud - 12 + yrs of exp - Hybrid - Dallas TX - Locals or Willing to relocate .

Network Architect is leading the design of the next generation scale out architecture for HV Clients. We interface with all levels of engineering with a singular goal of developing the most reliable and efficient network platform. This role will focus on network backbone and IP transit design, cloud networking and interconnect design and operations, security and network core services buildouts in support of our compute and storage teams.

- Design, build, implement, and optimize the client's global network.
- Design with the goal of operating at or above 99.9% uptime across the platform

What The Job Requires Of You
- 5 Minimum years of experience in network engineering and operations

- Very strong understanding of BGP and layer 3 networking
- Using ITIL best practices that can be incorporated into the operational running of the IT system to include Change/incident/problem/capacity planning.
- Process improvements and makes recommendations for continuous quality improvements.
- Deliver Changes to the Network platform by leveraging the change control process communicating and seeking approvals from business owners.
- Working closely with internal development, database, and implementation teams to deliver a new solution.
- Managing the 24*7 Production support.
- Troubleshooting Network problems
- Giving technical support and configuring according to the requirement of the Development Team.
- Solving login Problems, handling troubleshooting, installation, and many more.
- Cloud (AWS, Azure) & the Firewall (Palo Alto Networks Firewall, Cisco ASA The primary role would be to ensure network connectivity and security for Hitachi Vantaras worldwide multi-cloud network.
- Work in close cooperation with Architects and Service Owners from other teams to ensure smooth operation while adhering to the organization's policies and procedures.
- Play a key technical role in Global Cloud Steering Group by providing cloud networking insights and vision to the stakeholders. Define technical standards and procedures.
- Work with the cloud operations team to standardize delivery and set standards for day-to-day operations by automating or defining processes that ensure adherence to the organizations policies and standards. Prepare technical documentation and advisory guidelines. Design solutions and being involved in the Cloud-to-Cloud and datacenter-to-Cloud migrations.
- Act as technical advisor for the Operations Team and end customers engineers in cloud networking and security area. Drive core Global Cloud Infrastructure components.
- Ensuring the network security by conducting perioding audits of the environment using automation or SOPs that could be followed by the Cloud operations team or global operations team.
- Drive the design of the Global Cloud Landscape with the following services: Firewalls IPAM EDR / XDR platform Senior-level Network & Security experience within Cloud-based infrastructure and Deep understanding of routing in Public Cloud Platforms (Azure / AWS / OCI), with a strong emphasis on BGP. Any additional experience in technologies like SD-WAN would be considered an advantage.
- Broad knowledge of Public Cloud-native security features. Strong PKI (Public and Private)
- Certificates knowledge. Strong automation skills in Terraform / AWS Cloud Formation / Azure ARM Templates would be considered as an advantage. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including the ability to explain technical concepts to business leaders, and business concepts to technologists.
Qualifications/Skills
- Experience in diagnosing network configuration issues and network performance (ifconfig, ip, BPF, netstat, ss, TCP, UDP, tuning, routing, traceroute)
- Sound experience in network packet analysis and troubleshooting (tcpdump, wireshark etc.)
- Good experience with IPSec, SWAN, DHCP, NAT, IPv6, Firewall technologies (iptables/firewalld)
- Good of network routing protocols (e.g. BGP, RIPv2, OSPF)
