Job Description:
Role: Human Resources Specialist
Location: Rosemead, CA
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to provide comprehensive support across HR functions, including employee data management, benefits administration, recruitment support, and compliance. This role involves managing a variety of HR service transactions and responding to employee inquiries through the HR Service Center in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of HR policies, federal and state regulations, and demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide centralized HR support for payroll, benefits, onboarding, and general employee transactions through the HR Service Center.
- Maintain and update employee records, process new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
- Administer employee benefits and performance evaluation programs, ensuring compliance with COBRA, ERISA, and company policies.
- Coordinate new hire orientation sessions, update materials as needed, and track feedback for process improvements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate job descriptions; review annually for updates and accuracy.
- Respond promptly (within 24 hours) to employee inquiries via phone, email, or case management tools.
- Monitor and process benefits enrollments, qualifying life events, and claims resolution in coordination with vendors.
- Conduct audits of HR files, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support HR program managers with reporting, training coordination, and compliance tracking.
- Identify and escalate process inefficiencies or system issues for resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive employee and organizational information.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or HR Service Center operations.
- Proficiency in HR systems, case management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, employee relations, and recordkeeping practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.

- May require travel between office locations or training sites as needed (e.g., San Antonio, Kyle, or other U.S. locations).
