Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Telecom Analyst I with our large power and utilities client in Raleigh, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. This is a hybrid position - 3 days a week in office.

Pay: $31.00 - $36.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Description:
The IT Telecommunications department is looking for an individual with Telecom documentation experience to join its team. The IT Telecom Analyst will work in a Documentation Specialist role responsible for providing documentation services for telecommunication projects in the North Carolina Regional Headquarters building in Raleigh. The successful candidate should have the necessary experience to create and edit engineering documents and perform document management functions.

Responsibilities:

  • This role performs Telecommunications Documentation support
  • The tasks associated with this work include create, edit, and maintain Telecommunications Engineering documents with documentation management tools such as Adobe, Visio, MicroStation, MS Word, MS Excel, and other standard documentation platforms
  • The candidate would be responsible for indexing, maintaining, and verifying the accurate logging of equipment in various databases
  • Utilize *** s Documentation Management system to store and manage Telecommunication documents, including functions such as check-in, check-out, revise attribute data, etc.
  • Ability to create job aids and train others on the use of *** s document management system and document standards
  • Participate on an enterprise Agile team to support documents for all Telecom disciplines and regions
  • Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
  • Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches to distribute to field team.
  • Works on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Individual would be expected to advance their skills and ability to work with greater independence

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree plus a minimum of two years experience in engineering documentation management
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of a high school diploma and four years experience in engineering documentation management
  • Experience with engineering document creation, revision, and support with Adobe, Visio, MicroStation, or AutoCAD
  • Experience with Adobe and Microsoft family of applications like Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Visio
  • Ability to work well within a team, good interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Experience in coordination with multiple groups, companies, and people simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively with little direct supervision
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to be NERC-CIP certified and maintain the NERC-CIP access over time
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills.
  • Adherence to Change Management practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support successful performance in a team environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Telecommunications Engineering documentation and technologies
  • Experience with Construction Engineering documentation
  • Experience in technical writing, training, and/or development of job aids
  • Experience with additional tools such as MicroStation or AutoCAD
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience working with JIRA
  • Understanding of basic principles of project management
