Job Details

We are looking to fill a long-term Contract role as Business Analyst

Mode of Interview: In person

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Work Location: Columbia, SC

Shift: EST

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Elicitation & Documentation: Lead sessions (e.g., workshops, interviews) with business stakeholders to capture, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements, producing artifacts such as User Stories, Use Cases, Process Maps, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
  • COMMERCE Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise related to e-commerce and commercial applications, specifically focusing on the COMMERCE platform or similar large-scale, enterprise-level digital commerce systems.
  • System Analysis & Design: Analyze current state systems and processes, identifying gaps and defining future state requirements to enhance platform capabilities and user experience.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business units, development teams, quality assurance (QA), and vendor partners, ensuring clear, consistent communication and alignment on project scope.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance Support: Collaborate closely with QA teams to develop test plans, review test cases, and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the final product meets all specified business requirements.
  • Agile Methodology: Operate effectively within an Agile or hybrid project environment, participating actively in Scrum events (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically focused on large-scale e-commerce, commercial, or financial services applications.
  • Documentation: Expert ability to translate complex business problems into clear, unambiguous, and testable functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • SDLC: Strong understanding and practical experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with concepts like APIs, data modeling, system integration, and basic SQL for data validation.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to negotiate scope and manage competing priorities.

Preferred:

  • Platform Knowledge: Proven experience with COMMERCE or comparable enterprise e-commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, Adobe Commerce/Magento). will be preferred
