We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with deep expertise in Atlassian tools to support a strategic migration from on-premise Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud. In this role, you will consult on complex, large-scale engineering initiatives, analyze multifaceted technical challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition to the cloud.

Job Title: Software Engineer - Atlassian Tools Migration (Contingent Resource)

Duration: 18-month contract
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with deep expertise in Atlassian tools to support a strategic migration from on-premise Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud. In this role, you will consult on complex, large-scale engineering initiatives, analyze multifaceted technical challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition to the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of the migration from on-premise Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud.
- Analyze and resolve complex software engineering challenges involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
- Provide technical consultation on large-scale initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the migration process.
- Collaborate with client teams to align technical solutions with business goals and timelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, military service, or education.
- Proven experience administering and developing for both on-premise and cloud-based Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, and enterprise-scale system migrations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading cloud migration projects in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Atlassian APIs, scripting, and automation tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
