Position Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Software Developer with strong proficiency in Python development and a solid background in modern software engineering practices. This role supports the development and enhancement of mission-critical applications, including new feature development, defect resolution, technical debt reduction, modernization efforts, and infrastructure upgrades.
The developer will contribute across all stages of the software development lifecycle - including backend development, front-end support as needed, testing, verification, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Software Developer with strong proficiency in Python development and a solid background in modern software engineering practices. This role supports the development and enhancement of mission-critical applications, including new feature development, defect resolution, technical debt reduction, modernization efforts, and infrastructure upgrades.
The developer will contribute across all stages of the software development lifecycle - including backend development, front-end support as needed, testing, verification, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support financial engineering applications and services
- Address defects and resolve technical debt to align with best engineering practices
- Write clean, robust, high-quality code supported by comprehensive automated unit and integration tests
- Collaborate closely with team members across multiple layers of the technology stack
- Assist with infrastructure improvements and the adoption of new technologies
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, sound design judgment, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality product
- 2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) design and development
- At least 3 years of hands-on development using Python and/or Java, primarily backend
- Strong understanding of application, data, and architecture design patterns
- Solid background in fixed income finance, financial accounting, and capital markets
- Experience with SQL using major relational database platforms
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Experience delivering large-scale end-to-end projects
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to analyze and implement complex requirements
- Strong ability to learn business functions, product features, and technical concepts quickly
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; graduate degree preferred
- CFA or FRM certification, or significant progress toward either
- Experience writing automated unit, integration, regression, performance, and acceptance tests
- Familiarity with SQL Server
- Proficiency with modern software development and design processes
