Job Details

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Expert coder in both visual interfaces and web services construction, delivering scalable, high performance solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio 2017, C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC (v3+), jQuery, Angular, PrimeNG, .NET Framework, MS SQL Server 2016 Enterprise, and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience, including code development, unit testing, source code management, build management, integration testing, and deployment.
  • Proven track record of supporting mission-critical applications across Economic Services, BONVI, and Community Pathway Portal environments.
  • Strong background in subsystem/component design and documentation (object-oriented), with expertise in implementing, debugging, and optimizing software components.
  • Skilled in API design, data interchange formats, messaging strategies, and infrastructure planning across application servers, virtual machines, and distributed environments.
  • Experienced in writing and executing unit and integration tests, participating in end-to-end test sessions, and ensuring production-ready deployment quality.
  • Adept at evaluating system-level design decisions, analyzing their impact on
  • subsystems/components, and providing mitigation strategies or optimizations.
  • Collaborative team player with experience interacting with government stakeholders, technical leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective solution delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with technical infrastructure management, including repositories, build systems, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Passionate about knowledge sharing and mentoring, supporting the growth of junior engineers while fostering team success.
  • Recognized for efficient task execution, strong communication skills, and consistently driving projects to successful completion.

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in independent designing, developing, and implementing medium- to large scale software systems and components using .NET architectures.
  • 5+ years of expertise in building data-driven applications leveraging major relational database engines (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) as part of end-to-end application architectures.
  • Strong background in developing web-based applications with N-tier architectures, dynamic content management, scalable system design, and robust security models.
  • Proficient in Microsoft operating systems with hands-on experience across application servers, database systems, messaging platforms, and web servers.
  • Proven success in the design and implementation of multiple software components and subsystems, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
  • Skilled at clearly communicating technical design decisions, trade-offs, and implementation details including strengths, weaknesses, and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and state IT staff to deliver high quality software solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with technical peers, business stakeholders, and customers.

Preferred Experience:

Previous government experience in delivering IT solutions, ensuring compliance with federal/state policies and standards.
Hands-on experience supporting Child Protective Services (CPS) programs, ensuring systems meet compliance, security, and operational requirements specific to human services.
