Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cost Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on the Houston Airport Systems projects.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Assist in the compilation of overall project budgets, utilizing estimate input from a variety of sources.
  • Use Cost, Schedule, WBS etc. to ensure Budgets fully address all scope requirements and roll-up to Program level summaries.
  • Ensure Contingency and uncertainty is properly assessed within budgets; monitor contingency drawdown.
  • Gather key cost data: exposure, commitment, expenditure, potential changes, approved changes and provide cost coding for all key financial transactions.
  • Monitor & report project cash-flow and forecast budget variances.
  • Control commitments against funding allocations.
  • Assist in the ongoing cost reporting service and variance analysis (monthly movements, budget versus forecast, design and compile reports, calculate Estimate At Complete / Forecast and monitor movements, integrate all types of cost data and reporting and provide data for Finance systems).
  • Assist in the configuration and implementation of cost systems. Facilitate the development of user requirements. Understand the likely requirements for data integration.
  • Manage migration of data into cost systems.
  • Manage the interface of cost data within input, processing, and output / reporting systems.
  • Manage the Change Control procedures / processes.
  • Assist Cost Controls Team in the development and management of the Cost Controls & PMIS Systems
  • Utilize Power Platform Applications Suite to develop and automate data entry and maintenance processes related to the Capital Improvement Program.
  • Assist in the development of PowerBI reporting/processes for all management levels.
  • Compile KPI standards and reporting processes.

What skills and experience you bring:
  • Industry experience architecting and delivering scalable, distributed enterprise applications
  • Hands-on experience with DAX, M Language, XML, VBA & SQL development
  • Knowledge of database design and complex query development (SQL)
  • A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Construction Management and Project Controls Roles

Salary Range:
$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
