If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join Principal! We're looking for a
Journey Activation Engineer, Marketing Operations to assist with the development and implementation of digital marketing journeys. You'll work in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Data Cloud to build audiences, as well as technically implement customer engagements across channels in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. A working knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Data Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization is a plus.
Here is how you'll spend your day:- Build and manage target audiences using Data Extensions, Filters, and SQL Queries.
- Create and optimize Customer Journeys using Journey Builder and Automation Studio.
- Execute and monitor email and cross-channel marketing campaigns.
- Perform quality checks and troubleshoot issues related to campaign deployment and data flow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, analytics, and design.
- Document campaign setup processes and maintain campaign deployment records.

Who You Are- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or another marketing automation platform.
- Ability to configure, test, implement, and optimize audience segmentation, journey building, and campaign deployment within a marketing automation platform.
- Working knowledge of SQL and AMPscript, joining multiple data sources and building segmentation.
- Must be able to build and maintain relationships and facilitate collaboration and communication.
- Ability to consult and collaborate with marketers on journey executions and optimizations.
- Familiarity with email, push, SMS, social, mobile app, and web channels.
- Experience in financial services marketing is a plus.
- Project management and organization skills are highly valued.
- Annual travel to corporate office in Des Moines if working remote.
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out - SFMC email specialist certification
- Knowledge of CSS and HTML
- Experience of Salesforce Data cloud (CDP) or experience in other CDPs (Adobe Experience, Snowflake, etc.)
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and professionally
- Ability to analyze data to support decision-making
- MCP (Marketing Cloud Personalization) activation experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with JSON data structures, including configuring activation payloads and mapping data attributes
Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range$67500 - $121200 / year
Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Additional InformationWork EnvironmentsThis role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC). You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
