Overview

We are looking for a Mainframe Engineer with strong experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM to join a high-performing technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mainframe development, analysis, and support, working in an Agile or hybrid environment. You will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing large-scale mainframe applications that support key business operations.

This is a hybrid position requiring occasional onsite presence in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH.

Required Skills

10+ years of experience in mainframe development and support.
Strong hands-on experience with:
COBOL 2
CICS
JCL
VSAM
DB2
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Ability to research issues and resolve defects independently.

Nice to Have

* Experience with FileAid, Endevor, Abend-AID, InterTest, or Control-M.
* Familiarity with mainframe utilities and debuggers.
* Experience in automation or performance tuning using tools like Strobe or Platinum Detector.
* Exposure to cloud or distributed systems integration is a plus.
* No financial industry background required we welcome candidates from any domain.
