Cable Technician

Job Description

We're hiring Cable Technicians to support the buildout of structured cabling infrastructure in a large-scale data center environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the trade from experienced professionals and grow into a long-term career in telecommunications. If you're mechanically inclined, reliable, and eager to work in a fast-paced construction setting, this is a great chance to get started.

What You'll Do

• Assist with installing cable trays, pulling cable and fiber, and building server racks
• Learn to punch down and terminate fiber and copper cabling
• Route cable through walls and ceilings using fish tape and other tools
• Organize, dress, and label cables according to pre-termination procedures
• Support proper cable suspension using J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze systems
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling
• Perform fire-stopping procedures and pull cable through sleeves and core penetrations
• Terminate low-voltage devices and follow blueprints for installation
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in team-driven quality practices

What You Bring

• Experience with hand tools and basic construction tasks
• Ability to follow blueprints and technical drawings
• Comfortable working at heights and in active construction zones
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to work flexible hours
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in telecom, construction, or low-voltage cabling
• Familiarity with fiber termination, cable color codes, and server rack assembly

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
