Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) 100% Remote
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our cleared cybersecurity network. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the security posture of classified information systems, ensuring compliance with federal security policies, and supporting continuous monitoring activities in a highly secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage information assurance and cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support the development, testing, and evaluation of system security plans (SSPs).
- Ensure compliance with DoD, NIST, and RMF frameworks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and security audits.
- Collaborate with system administrators, engineers, and other security professionals to maintain accreditation and authorization.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance (mandatory).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an ISSO cybersecurity role.
- Strong understanding of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
