Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Westlake, TX.

Duties:
* Engineering and managing large scale enterprise infrastructure technologies for wired/wireless client connectivity over routed and switch infrastructure
* Network Engineer will operate and deploy fabric networks in Campus environments using Cisco Catalyst Center
* Deploying and operating Cisco Campus Chassis and Stack switches
* Provide technical support and assistance during on-call period and for impacting issues

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Network Engineering or 5+ years of related experience desired
* Experienced in engineering and managing large scale enterprise infrastructure technologies for wired/wireless client connectivity over routed and switch infrastructure
* Experience operating and deploying fabric networks in Campus environments using Cisco Catalyst Center
* Experiencing deploying and operating Cisco Campus Chassis and Stack switches
* Experience implementing code upgrades and hotfix on various platforms
* Solid experience managing Wireless Controllers and Wireless Access Points
* Network Engineering and Troubleshooting skills: Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF; Switched Protocols: Spanning-Tree, Router Redundancy protocols; Monitoring Protocols: SNMP, Syslog, Telemetry
* Knowledge of endpoint authentication mechanisms for Campus Wired and Wi-Fi endpoints and related protocols
* Knowledge of modern Wi-Fi communication protocols and standards
* Knowledge of common network services (DNS/DHCP/HTTP/SSH)
* Familiarity with python3, ansible playbooks and REST API
* Familiarity with network observability and monitoring systems

Desired Experience:
* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent knowledge preferred
* Certified Wireless Network Associate (CWNA) or higher a plus
* Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) or equivalent knowledge desired

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
