About the Role
We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead one of our high-impact, cross-functional feature teams. You'll work alongside a Product Manager and Designer in a collaborative "Trifecta" model, helping to shape the roadmap, empower your team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software-fast, iteratively, and with purpose.
We're looking for someone who combines hands-on technical expertise (particularly with Node.js and React or similar technologies) with strong leadership skills and a passion for mentoring others in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of high-performing engineers
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to define and deliver features that matter
- Promote technical excellence, balancing speed, scalability, and quality
- Stay hands-on by reviewing code, supporting architecture decisions, and removing blockers
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning
- Recruit and onboard top-tier engineering talent
- Support a fully remote, globally distributed team with meetings typically between 8am-11am PT
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of engineering management experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Strong background in modern web technologies like Node.js and React
- A collaborative, product-minded approach to building software
- Experience with agile, lean, and test-driven development practices
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to team growth and mentorship
- Bonus: Experience with construction tech or financial products
