Senior Software Engineer

Summary:
T2S Solutions LLC (T2S) is currently seeking to hire a highly-skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead middleware development and integration in support of a proof-of-principle effort. This role requires a strategic thinker who can contribute to architectural decisions, implement architectural frameworks, and lead and collaborate across functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and management: Lead middleware integration effort, Team scrum sessions, manage sprint planning and retrospectives, and facilitate peer code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Ensure issue management, version control, container generation, ATO compliance, and team collaboration.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering collaboration and professional growth within the team.
• Design and Architect Software Solutions: Implement the design of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. Develop, deploy, and manage middleware solutions in cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS), to support scalability, redundancy, and security requirements.
• Evaluate: Evaluate test platform performance during developmental test events in both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Integrate: Integrate middleware system into exercise and experimentation events to validate functionality, interoperability, and performance in mission-representative environments.
• Collaboration: Collaborate across functional teams to ensure system interoperability and performance. Work closely with the modeling and simulation teams to integrate simulation platforms and ensure end-to-end interoperability with middleware solutions. Support Information Assurance team for generation of ATO packages, including assistance with ACAS scanning and security documentation. Familiarity with DoD cloud compliance frameworks a plus.
• Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify potential technical risks early and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Active security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 15 years of professional software engineering experience working in classified environments
• Proven expertise in middleware development and integration.
• Strong proficiency with: Protobuf, Java 12, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, and Open API specifications, with expertise in Linux operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu Pro
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS), including deployment, container orchestration, and secure cloud-native service integration.
• Proficiency with VS Code or similar development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
