Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking an Embedded Software Verification Engineer. As part of an Integrated Product Team based in Pleasanton, CA, you'll help develop cutting-edge Cyber Security processor solutions for both commercial and aerospace applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and integrate software use case tests to verify hardware/software functionality
- Implement test plans and schedules across all phases of the software lifecycle
- Support requirements-based test plan development
- Create and track software defects, validating resolutions throughout the release cycle
- Apply strong understanding of software development flows and processes
- Communicate clearly and concisely, tailoring language to the target audience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of realted experience OR Master's degree with 1+ year of experience
- Degree in engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry; ABET accreditation preferred but not required
- Solid understanding of software test processes
- Experience developing and debugging software using C and scripting languages like Python
- Familiarity with embedded software and hardware
- Knowledge of embedded software testing and test automation
- Excellent technical writing skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing embedded software for ARM processors
- Familiarity with computer/information security principles
- Understanding of memory-mapped peripherals and bus alignment issues
