User Experience and Interface Designer and Develop

Location: Remote 100% Duration: 5+ months + possibility of extension, Full-Time

Job Details:

• The User Experience and Interface Designer and Developer for the Marketing and PR department will create UX and UI design, related digital properties and email communications. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating, contributing, designing and coding visual and front-end design created using the combination of design software and programming languages.
• As a member of the Creative Services department, you will partner with other members of the Creative Services team, Account Management, Project Management & Digital Strategy and Engagement to ensure all web and email communications are within Brand Guidelines, meet brief objectives and meet best in practice UX and UI. You will partner with Information Security (IS) to ensure that projects are executed properly through the entire project life cycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Advanced knowledge of front-end code including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and some combination of jQuery, Angular, React, SASS, and other web scripting languages.
• Proficiency with marketing technology in respect to journey and email design, development, and deployment
• Comfortable switching between multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Figma)
• Proficiency in email and content management software (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, Drupal)
• Excellent communication and analytical skills Required Working knowledge of SEO
• Familiarity with scalable taxonomies and metadata tagging for enterprise content management systems.
• Understanding of code versioning tools
• Comfort in working with legacy systems to troubleshoot design and other front-end issues.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Ability to iterate on/modify existing designs and create and execute designs from scratch.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Web, Android and iOS development tools and front-end frameworks
• Responsive design expert: mobile first proponent Preferred Ability to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Self-motivated and assertive individual with strong organizational, and planning skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Curiosity and initiative to learn and adapt to the constant changes in technology.
• Expertise in typography, layout and composition, color theory, fluid grid systems, photography, and animation and transitions".
• At least four (4) years Professional experience in web and email design and development utilizing email, content management systems and front end programming technologies/languages/frameworks such as JS, jQuery, SASS, Angular, React, etc.
• At least two (2) years Experience designing and managing UX that bridges multi platforms including mobile apps, web-based applications, and desktop apps.
• Strong portfolio containing specific examples showcasing user research, journeys, information architecture, and strategic UX thinking
• Experience in using data (both quantitative and qualitative) analysis techniques to inform design

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, UX, UI or Programming

Experience:

• Experience in software / UI development Required
