Description:
8 12 years of experience with planning, designing, and installing Enterprise backup solutions
Should have expert level knowledge on Spectralogic tape drives and CommVault COTS
VMWare ESXi Provide backup/restore support for two on prem Data Centers running Linux and Windows operating systems. The COTS software used for backup/restore operations is CommVault and the tape infrastructure is SpectraLogic
Task Description:
Linux Administrative activities include:
Maintaining a stable Backup/restore environment.
Patch backup servers monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities.
Proficient in VMWare Esxi infrastructure and knowledge on various backup methodologies available
Must be able to work independently to provide input and recommendations into the design phase and successfully execute requirements.
Must excel at troubleshooting complex problems to resolution.
Must be able to configure and install Enterprise backup solutions and manage clients running the backup software.
Ability to do snapshot, full and incremental backups
Suggest newer backup technologies to move away from tape backups
