SUMMARY

The Foreign Trade Analyst is responsible for ensuring that regional trade activities comply with international customs and export control laws. This position helps enforce adherence to internal procedures and external regulations across business operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute import/export functions across assigned territories within legal and cost-effective parameters.
• Remain informed on evolving customs and trade requirements; offer counsel to internal teams.
• Manage product classification, origin documentation, and preferential treatment activities.
• Supervise and evaluate customs brokers and relevant service providers.
• Apply regional export compliance controls including screening protocols and classification of goods and technologies.
• Communicate legal trade requirements to all impacted departments and facilities.
• Serve as internal advisor on trade matters and support cross-functional project teams.
• Recommend process improvements and standardization efforts across regional trade functions.
• Contribute to strategic cost-savings through task relocation or process automation.
• Facilitate and support regulatory audits and inspections.
• Act as liaison to local export compliance officers.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, and classification procedures
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP GTS experience is a plus
• Familiarity with EU and U.S. export control laws preferred
